How do we learn and teach math using the advanced technology tools available today?
Use it, don't let it use you.
Once upon a time, the calculator was invented, and math education acted like the sky wasn't just falling, it was exploding.
How are students ever going to know the basics if they have technology that will do the calculations for them?!
Hmmm, sounds like the same thing we are hearing today. Were those past voices right to fear the new technology? Were those predictions about the decline of education prophetic? That is an interesting argument. The only thing we can say for certain is that technology did change the way we learn and teach math and math-related courses.
Major change has once again entered the education arena. Will it cause the sky to fall or help us blast off to parts unknown?
Students are going to use AI.Period.
AI can be a crutch or a tool.
So, if AI is going to be used, let's all learn HOW to use it.
